ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW | BOLTON (H)

29 July 2022

Essential read ahead of tomorrow's curtain raiser

Town welcome Bolton Wanderers to Portman Road tomorrow afternoon in our opening game of the 2022/23 Sky Bet League One campaign.

The action will get under way at 3pm, with sales already past the 26,300 mark, with Town fans getting their first glimpse of a new-look Portman Road.

A big screen in the South-east corner will be in operational use for tomorrow's match along with LED advertising boards.

Content on the big screen will begin at 2.10pm, so be sure to take in our pre-match show. The FanZone will also have an outdoor screen in use tomorrow.

The below guide takes you through all you need to know ahead of tomorrow's match:

Tickets

Over 26,300 tickets have already been sold. Ticket sales will run up until kick-off. They can be purchased on the day online via tickets.itfc.co.uk or from the matchday ticket office on Constantine Road from 10am.

With very limited tickets available, supporters are encouraged to buy their tickets online and in advance of the match. There will be no on-the-day sales from Planet Blue. The only place to purchase match tickets in person tomorrow is at the matchday ticket office on Constantine Road which will open from 10am.

The ticket office enquiry line (03330 050530) is open from 10am until kick-off on Saturday. The ticket office is also contactable on email via mainticketoffice@itfc.co.uk.

The away ticket office on Portman Road will be open from 1.30pm for any ticketing enquiries, while the disabled entrance on Constantine Road will open from midday.

Supporters who chose the 'mobile PDF/print at home' option can scan their mobile PDF ticket through all turnstiles at Portman Road now.

Due to the bumper crowd, supporters are encouraged to arrive early to avoid large queues at turnstiles close to kick-off.

Big screen

The big screen will be in operational use tomorrow, with content starting at 2.10pm. The screen will be showing highlights of classic encounters with Bolton, Club content as well as a mix of live camera features including a half-time interview with former Blues captain Carlos Edwards.

Train strikes

A number of rail companies, including Greater Anglia, are on strike tomorrow. This will affect trains from London to Ipswich and also their regional services which will impact cross-country journeys via Peterborough and Cambridge.

Greater Anglia will be running some trains on the London Liverpool Street to Ipswich line. There will be no regional services. They are advising people not to travel, and that the few trains that do run are likely to be extremely busy. The timetable shows that trains will be running hourly from London Liverpool Street to Ipswich at 30 minutes past the hour and from Ipswich to London at 41 minutes past the hour. The last train from Ipswich to London is at 19:41. The timetable can be found HERE.

If you intend to travel to Ipswich on the Friday by train and return on the Sunday, please be warned that Greater Anglia are suggesting that a normal service will not resume until Sunday afternoon. It is also possible that late evening Friday services may be cancelled.

FanZone

The FanZone will be open at midday tomorrow. Over 4,500 fans visited the FanZone for fixtures towards the back end of last season.

A new outdoor screen will be debuted in the FanZone tomorrow with a FanZone presenter introduced to enhance the matchday experience. Former Blues captain Carlos Edwards will be present in the FanZone tomorrow.

How to follow

Overseas fans can watch Town on iFollow. For more information, please click here.

The Club's Twitter feed will also be providing frequent updates so you don't miss a kick!

Planet Blue
Open from 10am until kick-off, before closing 30 minutes after the full-time whistle.

The Planet Blue retail unit in the FanZone will be open alongside Planet Bluey in the Magnus Group West Stand.

Around Portman Road
Flower beds have been installed at Princes Street end of Portman Road, meaning that supporters parking in the NCP Portman Road car park will need to either turn right towards Handford Road or go straight over down Sir Alf Ramsey Way.
