Skipper calls on Town to end a disappointing season in positive fashion by taking maximum points from the remaining three games

Luke Chambers said he sees ‘no reason’ why Town can’t win their last three games this season.

The skipper emphasised how important it was to secure back-to-back victories for the first time this campaign.

“We haven’t performed at a good level consistently enough,” Luke explained to the official Club website.

“That’s the first time we’ve won two consecutive games all season. To do that with a few games remaining is not really acceptable and we are all disappointed with the season on a whole.

“Beating a team of Newcastle’s calibre in the way we did though on Monday was brilliant.

“To get a win against Burton, who are a strong team at home, was also impressive.

“Those are the two best performances of the season in my opinion, thankfully it was when it really mattered.

“The lads are full of confidence at the moment and I don’t see any reason why we can’t win the last three and make it five out of five to end on a high.”
