Blues loanee hoping to pay back fans' faith as his hot streak continues

Tom Lawrence is delighted to have been able to repay the support given to him by the Town faithful after yet another impressive showing at Portman Road.

The Welshman scored his eighth goal in as many games as Town were twice pegged back to draw 2-2 with Reading at Portman Road.

“I think it was a massive improvement from Tuesday, and it was more like the performance we put in against Preston last weekend,

“I thought we deserved to win the game, but things are going against us at the minute so we need to keep battling and hopefully we’ll get the wins we deserve.

“I’m just glad to see the ball keep hitting the back of the net so I’m grateful.

“The fans were unbelievable today, and got right behind us because we needed that so hopefully it can continue.

“They’ve been behind me from day one so I hope that will carry on and I’ll try to do them proud.”
