Striker joins on loan from Reading until the end of the season as Mick strengthens his squad on deadline day
Town have agreed a deal to sign Dominic Samuel on loan from Reading until the end of the season.
The Blues have moved to strengthen the squad ahead of tonight's 11pm transfer deadline, with Samuel becoming Mick McCarthy's sixth addition of the window.
The striker has passed a medical and signed his loan contract at Portman Road today, although will be ineligible for Saturday's clash with parent-side Reading.
Samuel, a 6ft 2in striker, has progressed through the academy ranks at the Madejski Stadium through to the first-team, making 16 appearances and scoring twice for the Royals.
The man capped at youth level by England has also taken in spells on loan with Football League sides Colchester, Dagenham, Coventry and Gillingham.
A full interview with the new Blue will be available on Ipswich Player HD soon.
