What went on in the past five days at Town
The U23s were in action away to Coventry in the PDL2. Jordan Spence, Simon Dawkins and Tristan Nydam all played 90 minutes but it was the Sky Blues who took the three points at the Ricoh Arena with a 1-0 victory. Gerard Nash's side will be back in action this coming Monday (February 25) when they face Colchester at Playford Road [kick-off 1pm].
The Club announced that there will be free open trials held for boys in the U7 age group for the Elite Player Development Programme. More details can be found here.
Blues skipper Luke Chambers also questioned the role of agents in football and said that many don't have a player's interests at heart.
And details for the Club's Golf Day were released. Blues boss Paul Lambert and his coaching staff as well as a group of first-team players will be taking part in the event at Ufford Park on March 4.
EACH revealed that they would be hosting a unique zip-sliding experience at Portman Road in May. Town midfielder Jon Nolan was at the stadium to help promote the event and launch ticket sales.
Academy scholar Corrie Ndaba (pictured below) signed his first professional deal with the Club. The centre-half penned a three-and-a-half-year deal to keep him at Portman Road until the summer of 2022.
Paul Lambert was handed a two-match touchline ban and fined £3000 following a misconduct charge from the FA after he received a red card against Norwich City earlier this month.
Club owner Marcus Evans wrote a letter to all season ticket holders inviting them to an exclusive event before Town's clash against Nottingham Forest on March 16. Paul Lambert will join a number of former Blues, including Terry Butcher, in the FanZone at Portman Road with a complimentary pie and pint available to those who attend. Find out more here.
The boss and central midfielder Trevoh Chalobah were on press duty. Trevoh placed added importance on Town's next two fixtures but also said each game until the end of the season must be treated like a cup final if Blues are to be in with a chance of remaining in the Championship. The manager gave an injury update ahead of Saturday's trip to Wigan.
Blues striker Kayden Jackson celebrated his 25th birthday.
